If you're a total beginner we recommend starting your sewing journey with one of our beginner friendly online workshops such as the Day Tote, Cara Top or Frida Shirt. They will teach you how to use your machine, handle your tools and get to grips with the foundations of high quality sewing.

All of our workshops are designed with professional finishings in mind. We don't do 'practice projects', you'll be sewing to a high level from the start with clear and detailed guidance.

To start your sewing journey you don't need to have an extensive tool kit. The basics you will need are:

• sewing machine
• iron & ironing board
• sharp scissors
• a tape measure
• pins
• unpicker/seam ripper
• chalk

You'll receive lifetime access to your online workshops so you can watch them at home in your own time, as many times as you like.
