Frida Shirt PDF Pattern
Enjoyed making this up and will certainly make again. The style is so versatile and adaptable the instructions clear. Would thoroughly recommend.
Very nice shirt.easy to sew and easy to follow instructions.made one but will make more!
I enjoyed the process of making the Frida Shirt and am very pleased with the outcome.
The round neck sits nicely at the base of the neck and the yoke and dropped shoulder line visually widens my narrow shoulders. I chose to make the shirt from white voile and the French seams were perfect for this light material. The instructions were very clear although I did stay stitch round the neck to prevent stretching and added gathering stitches around the sleeve head to help ease the sleeve to the body. I did not alter the pattern pieces but I didn’t add the pocket and I made the hems deeper as I wanted a turn up on the sleeves. The pattern drafting was very good especially the sleeve which hangs nice and straight. The technical information on the pattern was very good especially the fabric choice in terms of suggested weights, fabric type and texture and the yardage was realistic. There were lots of useful pattern markings although I had to be vigilant in tracing the right size on some pieces.
I am looking forward to making more of this pattern and trying other patterns from MSC.
