Worker Shorts

@hatosews | Worker Trousers (shorts hack)

I LOVE to see such enthusiastic and motivated makers in this sewing community. Just three short weeks ago I wrote about the hack I'd done to my Worker Trouser pattern to create summer shorts. I absolutely love that some of you have already made them AND already been on holiday with them too.
If you missed the hack details you can find them here. I'm wearing mine as I write and I have to say they're definitely a winner.
Sending love and inspiration from sunny London,
Hetty x

I'm wearing my shorts today with my Cara Top. It's going to be up to 31 degrees this week and these pieces are going to be in regular rotation.
I made my shorts out of a linen canvas from a local warehouse. It's a great weight for feeling cool and comfortable but robust enough to last for a number of years.
The Cara Top is made from a lovely tencel from Merchant & Mills. I selected vintage mother of pearl buttons to add a 'pop' and liven the look up a bit.
Both the Cara Top & Worker Trousers come in the form of pdf patterns (sizes 4 - 28) and online workshops too. If you're a beginner the Cara Top Workshop is a great starting point and the Worker Trouser Workshop is best suited to intermediate makers.
