What You'll Learn
What you'll learn:
This workshop will take beginner and intermediate sewers through the process of creating their own capsule wardrobe from start to finish.
The key to long lasting garments is a high quality of make and this workshop series will give you in depth and detailed guidance for a professional finish. You'll learn a huge array of construction techniques and each step will be explained thoroughly with no stone left unturned.
The Series:
1. Cara Top - Starting with this beginners piece you'll get to grips with the basics and will be introduced to detailed sewing techniques at an achievable level. (Available in sizes 4 - 28)
2. Frida Shirt - Next we'll build things up to introduce more making elements to a paired back blouse with sleeves. (Available in sizes 6 - 28)
3. Over Shirt - Your introduction into shirt making will take things to the next level and you'll be able to sew a full shirt with proper tailoring techniques. It might sound big but it's 100% achievable when broken down into a simple step-by-step guide. (Available in sizes 6 - 28)
4. Daphne Trousers - Moving on to trousers, you'll learn how to sew a zip fly with additional binding detailing to give a high quality finish. Fiddly but very satisfying. (Available in sizes 4 - 28)
5. Worker Trousers - And finally you'll master the Worker Trouser with the concealed button fly, front pockets, binding details and waistband with belt loops. The creme de la creme. (Available in sizes 4 - 28)

The Wardrobe Workshop
I've wanted to learn to sew for a while and finally worked up the courage to buy a machine! I did lots of research on courses that I could learn from and decided on this one because it looked like clothes that I would actually wear and were made with good technique. Right now, I've created 3/5 of the garments (Cara, Frida, and Over Shirt) and I am sooooo thankful I bought this. It is broken down so simply and clearly and I've already learned so much. Nothing seems too overwhelming and I've been so pleased with the instruction. The patterns are easy to understand and the instructions are clear. I wore my Frida shirt to work! My Over Shirt looks like a real thing you could buy in a store! I can't believe I actually made them myself!
I look forward to starting on the trousers in this pack and once I'm finished with these garments, I'll definitely be buying other patterns from The Modern Sewing Co. Exceptional quality on everything I encountered from this company.
Thank you!
I bought the workshop when I was getting back into sewing and re-learning skills, and have been SO impressed with the quality of the tutorials and finished garments. The instructions are clear and well presented, and I can't fault the quality of the patterns. The pieces in the collection mix and match really nicely and I have made a couple of them more than once already. Can't recommend enough, thank you!
I have learnt so much from making the patterns in this collection, with the skills and techniques transferable to other sewing projects.
The workshops are well paced and detailed, and have given me the confidence to sew items that I thought were out of my reach.
I just love the attention to detail and professional finishing of all the patterns - at last I'm making items that look amazing and that I want to wear!
