Fun sewing projects

So far I've made the Frida shirt and am getting started on the worker trouser. I've enjoyed the course, instructions are helpful! I would love more guidance on how to size the patterns for my body, but that is something I'm always generally looking for more information on. Have learned a lot - very nice patterns.

Best decision to get more serious with sewing!

I had learned to sew when I was younger but only very basic skills. I really wanted to learn to make professional looking pieces for my wardrobe using solid techniques and am so glad I found Modern Sewing Co! So far I have completed a Frida shirt while watching the videos and it was amazing. Where I live (and with a baby) it's hard to commit to classes and this was perfect to fit in as I could and pause the videos as I needed, then come back to it. I was a little nervous at first being from US without as much metric experience but it was easy to follow and aside from buying the fabric and buttons found the process very easy as I have metric on my tape measure. I've already purchased fabric and notions for the pants and overshirt and can't wait to have a little time to myself to make those too! I am already planning which patterns to purchase next. These workshops are giving me much more confidence to sewing professional looking garments myself. Well worth it and HIGHLY recommend!!

NO REGRETS!

I would say I'm an intermediate sewer, but bought this workshop-series in order to get an easier access especially to sewing pants, because in the past, most self-made-pants did not fit properly (so those have always been rather frustrating projects). At first I wasn't sure if I would regret the puchase of the other two workshops, but now I must say, I love them all. The lovely setup and the relaxed atmosphere makes those workshops a pleasure to watch, even without sewing along. The explanations are very easy to follow and helped to improve my sewing-skills even more. I also loved the choise of fabric for each project in the video which massively inspired me for my next fabric purchases :)
In the meantime I made one worker trouser (and another one is in process), four Frieda Shirts and two Over Shirts. The making process worked really well and all of them feel very high-quality. I love combining them among themselves like my own mini-capsule-wardrobe.
