If you’re choosing a stripey fabric you can play with the direction of the stripe on the collar, back yoke, cuffs and plackets.

A perfect pattern!

I have made two classic shirts already, and I couldn’t be happier with how they turned out. The fit is absolutely fantastic and the instructions were clear and in-depth, making the resulting garment very clean and professional! Thank you Hetty for this great pattern!

Lovely shirt!

I made the Classic Shirt in a crisp cotton-linen blend and it sewed up beautifully! I was very impressed with the fit, and the cuff and collar attachment methods gave me a very nice finish. Binding the hem was also new to me and while I struggled a bit with incorporating the binding into the French seams, I got there in the end. I can see myself making this shirt again to fill the "professional shirt" niche in my wardrobe.

Perfect!

I wanted a classic shirt and this pattern lived up to its name. The fit is accurate. The instructions couldn't be better: they are clear and precise. I've been sewing for many years and I can truly say this is one of the best patterns I've sewn.
