The Capsule Course is an online course that will give you the teaching and support to learn high quality sewing skills from your own home. You’ll learn how to make 4 durable pieces with industry standard finishing techniques and you’ll learn a broad range of skills that will set you up for a lifetime of sewing to a high standard.

The course consists of pre-recorded online workshops and photo guides which you can watch at home in your own time. You’ll also have access to an exclusive course forum with makers from all over the world sharing progress, questions and advice with one another. The Modern Sewing Co. team will also be part of the forum, answering questions and giving feedback on a daily basis.

You’ll have lifetime access to your workshops and the course forum will be open from February - May for support and discussion.

The course is open to enrol in throughout all of January. Then on 1st February the course forum will open and you’ll receive access to your first project.

1st-31st January: The course is open to enrol on. Once you’ve signed up you’ll receive all of your patterns along with guidance on preparing for the course (including choosing your fabrics).

1st February: The course forum opens and you’ll receive access to your first project.

1st March: The second project will go live on 1st March.

1st April: Lastly the third project will go live. The forum will remain open until the end of May for discussion and support.

Yes! The course has options available for all sewing levels. Each project will have an entry level option, with more complex techniques available for confident sewers. The learning can be tailored and so we welcome sewers of all levels to join!
