Course structure

Project 1
Cara Top
You'll start your Wardrobe Workshop with the Cara Top which will teach you a few key skills along with the fundamentals of high quality sewing habits.
You'll be encouraged to sew with close attention to detail, often using millimetres instead of centimetres as guidelines to encourage aiming for precision.
This is a great starting point on the journey to sewing more high quality pieces for your wardrobe.

Project 2
Frida Shirt
Moving on to the Frida Shirt you'll be building on your skills, again sewing with french seams and also learning how to apply flat binding and easing in sleeve heads.

- Sewing a double back yoke with gathering detail
- French Seams
- Inserting a fitted sleeve with ease
- Flat Binding finishing on the neckline

Project 3
Over Shirt
Your shirt making journey will start with the Over Shirt workshop. This project includes the 2 hour video tutorial which will give you an understanding of the more complex construction techniques used in traditional shirt making.

- Run & fell seams

- Grown on Button Stand
- Double yoke with back loop
- Classic collar and collar stand
- Square topped placket and cuff
- Sleeve (no pleats) with insertion & no shoulder ease
- Hemming & buttons

Project 4
Daphne Trousers
The Daphne Trouser workshop will give you a great introduction to trouser making with techniques that will help you make designer quality trousers that will last years of wear and tear.

- Closing the Inside Leg
- Preparing the Fly Pieces
- Zip Fly with Binding Finishing
- Closing the Crotch
- Straight, One-piece Waistband

project 5
Worker Trousers
Moving on to the Worker Trousers, this workshop will teach you further trouser making skills such as front pockets, belt loops and a concealed button fly with binding finishing, building on the skills you’ve already learnt to give you a well rounded set of trouser techniques.
These skills will be transferable to any garment you sew, in particular all future pairs of trousers.
