I love this pattern and it's so flattering! I made one for me in linen and for mum in viscose and they are gorgeous! yes the pocket instruction was very confusing both times and I had no idea what I was doing but somehow it worked both times like magic. I had to shorten the length by 5cm to fit me properly (I'm 167cm) but other than that perfect!

This is a wonderful dress.

I made this dress out of a large check shirting in black and grey. I love how it fits; it's loose in the back but fairly slender in the straight-on front profile, which is flattering. My only difficulty was in understanding how to insert the side seam pockets. I have probably done this 20 times in my life, but this technique was different and though I am an experienced sewer, I just couldn't solve that. I ended up making big patch pockets, which looks great, and if I make it again, I'll just insert the side pockets the way I know how. But in the end, it is a simple, flattering, and straightforward make and I do recommend it. I would also add that it might be helpful to have a double notch marking the back of the sleeve as it was a bit tricky knowing which side of the sleeve was front and which was back just by looking. I pinned it in both ways and made the choice that worked best and it is fine. When I cut it out next time I will differentiate the notches for myself. All in all, I good keeper pattern!

Incredible design

This dress is sooooo classy! I wore it everywhere- to dinner, walking around, to work. It just seems to work. It is slim fitting in the bust, arms, and shoulders- I wished there were more garment measurements (eg for the bicep) so I could be more confident of the size, esp w a two piece sleeve, but it did work out! I’m going to make like three more
