How to use PDF Patterns

Where to find your patterns & workshops:

After purchasing you'll find your PDF pattern download and any workshops in your account page. Simply log in (or create an account using the same email address used to purchase) and click the account button in the top right corner. The most up to date versions of the patterns will always be available from within your account. If any changes are made to the pattern or instructions you’ll receive an email notification.

Opening your files:

Some older Window computers have problems opening zip files. If this is the case, you can use the free programme 7-Zip to open your files.

How to print your pattern:

You have two options for printing out your pattern.

1. You can get it printed in A0 at a printing shop or sewing pattern company. Search for "sewing pattern printing company" to find a company that does this in your region.

2. Or you can print it yourself on a home printer in A4 or US Letter format and then tile the pages together using tape.

Using PDF layers:

All of our patterns come with PDF layers so you can select the sizes you want to view and print. To do this you’ll need a PDF viewer such as Adobe Acrobat Reader (this is free to download).

More details on printing, using PDF layers and general preparation tips can be found on the ‘Using Our Patterns’ document (download for free here). This document comes with all of our patterns.

Great Course

I am brand new to sewing. My family bought me a sewing machine for Christmas and I bought this course to try to learn how to use the machine. I am totally blown away by the quality of the clothes I was able to make in this course. The video tutorials are top notch and really helped me develop my skills. I highly recommend this course to anyone else who wants to learn.

Great explanation and fantastic vibe

I've done many different sewing workshops, and Hetty's are by far my favorite. Her explanations are very clear, nothing is skipped, and the video is informative. Plus, she just greats an atmosphere that makes me want to watch the workshops, makes me actually want to sew, and helps me enjoy the calm, as opposed to getting stressed out. Highly recommend both for beginners and advanced sewers.

The best way into sewing!

I bought the Beginner Series in January, and I’ve now done all the video tutorials and am planning on making the Rib Sweater and Sunday Trackies for autumn. Hetty’s tutorials are amazing and have helped me go from total beginner to a much more confident sewist in all ways. I love the emphasis on professional techniques right from the very start, which means that although projects might take a bit longer, they’re more likely to last and more likely to be worn. Not only have I made three amazing pieces so far, I’ve also carried the techniques learnt over into other projects too, and the tutorials have definitely helped with learning how to solve problems that arise in other patterns I’ve used too.

And on top of that, the patterns included are fantastic. Both shirts are really gorgeous, and while I never would have picked the Daphne Trousers for myself, I absolutely love how they look on me - and I feel so proud of my first pair of trousers! Very excited to do the next two on my own, with the confidence and knowledge gained from the first three. Worth every penny if you’re a beginner!
