Potters Jacket PDF Pattern
It was such fun to sew my Potters Jacket. The pattern descriptions were absolutely amazing, and simple to follow, even though it was quite a lot of small finesses which makes the jacket so special. I loved the pattern. I must admit I struggled a bit with picking out the right parts on the pattern, since they were on different sheets, so I noted Long/short on each part while I cut. This was obvious for me as soon as I started sewing. I receive so many postive comments on my jacket, and I recommend The Modern Sewing co, which I found on the Threadloop app, to each and everyone. I sewed my jacket in Japanese ventile fabric
Made the welt pocket version . So pleased I practised them first ! 6 attempts then it ‘clicked’ . Maybe there could be a couple more pictures , I found it difficult to see whether I was working on the wrong or right side of the pocket lining.
Anyway rest of pattern excellent as always .
Used a heavy denim and not lined .
Finished inside with binding .
Recommend this pattern I can see so many options already !
My first jacket! Inspired to try for a high end finish with bound seams. Made it in a lightweight denim which is perfect for fall & spring. Great pattern, will definitely make more.
