Shirt making is a wonderful art form requiring precision, care and respect for the process. Through a good understanding of shirt making you'll be able to make your own set of timeless wardrobe staples that will last for years and years.

This mini series will take you through the process of shirt making and enable you to make 3 shirts using traditional techniques.

What is included:

  • Lifetime access to our online Over Shirt Workshop
  • 3 x PDF Patterns ( A4, A0 & US Letter) for the Over Shirt, Classic Shirt and Unisex Shirt (sizes 6-20 are available for this series)
  • These will all be sent to you via email after purchasing

What you'll learn:

This pre-recorded online workshop aims to elevate your sewing skills and improve your confidence. You will learn how to sew with precision, using run & fell seams, sewing complicated plackets & cuff openings, classic collar construction and plenty of detailed top stitching. The workshop will take you through at a steady pace and included built in chapters to break down the project into bitesize stages.

The process:

To get to grips with shirt making we recommend starting with the Over Shirt and guided tutorial for this style. Once you've made this piece you'll be able to re-use the workshop to help you complete the Unisex Shirt and then the Classic Shirt.

Please note: there are small differences between all of the shirts. The Over Shirt Workshop will help you to complete the other shirts but you'll also need to refer to the illustrated instructions to help where the garments differ slightly from one another.

You will receive both an A4, A0 & US Letter size digital pattern along with step by step sewing instructions. You can either print your pattern at home on an A4 printer or send the A0 digital copy to a printing shop (there are many that do this for a very reasonable price). If you decide to print in A4 you will need to piece the tiles together to make one huge page. There is a guide on how to do this included in the instructions.
